Biography: Ivy Eileen Mohammed-Ali Meighan was born on October 25, 1932 to William and Lucy Mohammed-Ali along with her three brothers, Frank, Joseph (Joey) and Roy, who all went on before her. Ali was born in Belize City, Central America.
She lived in Belize City, where she met her husband Rudolph Meighan. They raised their children, Carol and Vantyne in Belize City until she moved to California, with her brother Joey. After his passing, she moved to New York to live with her son Vantyne.
In 1992, she was diagnosed with stage four endometrial cancer and the doctors gave her between three to five years to live. But God had other plans for her. He healed her twenty-eight years cancer free. This final trip to the hospital, the doctors said she will be gone in two to three days, but God choose to allow her to live twelve days, and took her when he was ready for her.
Her favorite pastime was cross stitching, coloring and word search puzzles.
Ivy leaves behind her daughter Carol and son Vantyne; her nieces and nephews; Francine, Vanecia, Polly, Rubena, Rene, Frank, Peter, Roy, Gerald and James, several grand-nieces and grand-nephews; ten grand-children, seventeen great grand- children.
Auntie, Grandma Ivy will be missed, but she is absent from this earth, is present with the Lord. You can now rest in the bosom of our Father. We love and will miss you!...
