Biography: Milton Curtis Floyd, born to Arthur Floyd Sr. and Eva Pollard Floyd, on March 21, 1945, in Sumpter, South Carolina; went home to be with the Lord on June 16, 2021.
Milton was a firm believer in God. He would always be reading his Bible. He has a strong love for his family that was unconditional, especially of his wife Ethel for 52 years. Milton never referred to any of his children as stepchildren but always my son or daughter.
Milton worked for A. Salmon & Sons, also B. Rosen & Sons; combined for a total of 48 years.
Milton loved fishing, which he did with his two friends, Leroy Brown and Al Hines; watching westerns and dancing. You couldn't get him off the dance floor. He would always have two dance partners, his wife and friend since 1976, Betty Reid, whom they call sister and the children call auntie. He always prided himself in the way he dressed. He was always clean and sharp from head to toe whether it was for church or any social events; especially his wife.
Prior to joining Greater Zion Hill Baptist Church, he would always send his tithe. He officially joined GZHBC in 2004 and became a faithful deacon in 2005; but later stepped down due to illness.
Preceding Milton in death: Son, Curtis Milton Floyd, Sr.; daughter, Lawanda Mosby; brothers: Arthur Floyd, Jr., Wyatt Floyd, Sr.; oldest sister Marie Dennis.
Milton leaves to mourn and cherish his memories: wife Ethel, daughter Glory Floyd; son Levell Mosby Jr.; daughter Patrina Mosby; sisters, Eva M. Bonapart of Harlem, New York; Josephine Sanders (Marion) of Sumpter, South Carolina and Alene Taylor of Sumpter, South Carolina; Grandchildren: Curtis Milton Floyd Jr., Lucas Michael Mosby, Michael Mosby, Anthony Mosby, Marc Mosby, and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
