Biography: Frederick Douglass Williams was born on April 7, 1949, in Elmhurst Hospital, Queens New York to his mother Maybelle Williams, and his father Harry Sweetie.
Frederick attended Elementary School 184, completed, and continued on to Cooper Junior High School, then graduated from High School. At a young age, Freddy attended Canaan Baptist Church of Christ, on 23-25 West 118th Street, with his grandmother Lottie Williams. Freddy’s grandmother kept him in the church and he was baptized, and later joined and served on the youth usher board. Freddy also worked on The Board of Elections and for the Parks Department in the Bronx. Freddie loved his music! He also loved taking walks, and cooking...he just knew he was a chef!
He was preceded in death by his parents, Maybelle Williams and Harry Sweetie, and brother Gregory.
Frederick leaves behind: wife, Carmen Williams; two brothers, Marvin and Richard; two sisters, Kim and April; and a host of nieces, great-nieces, nephews, and great-nephews, cousins, in-laws Gene, Ronald, Anthony,Valerie, Connie, Sheila, Betty, and many dear friends.
