Sherrie Polk was born to Josie Dorsey February 17, 1975. Sherrie departed her life on Wednesday October 20, 2021
She graduated top of her class and completed some college. In high school some girl tried to mess with her, and Sherrie wasn’t having it. She literally had a cage match fight inside a cage. Sherrie won!!! She was a born fighter, with a heart of gold. She was a giver, she gave her children whatever, they wanted or needed. She even bought food for the homeless. She was never afraid to be herself, In public or private.
Sherrie spent a lot of time with her children. Together with her son Devon, they would go to many different places. Devon would always follow her everywhere she went. Together they went to the supermarket, the store across the street, the hospital, to events, and even restaurants. Sherrie and Devon also liked to play Pokémon Go.
Her family and friends will always remember her kindness and fighting spirited. Even as she battled sickle cell, she never stopped doing things for her children and others. Sherrie was always giving to other people.
Sherri is survived by her mother Josie Dorsey. Three brothers Marvin, Curt and Calvin. Three sisters Judy, Annette and Anita. Sherrie and her husband and best friend Jamel O'Brayant welcomed five boys Eric, Devon, Shawn, Marion, and Ethan. Sherri also had a daughter Jacklyn.
