Ruth Marie Jackson was born in the Bronx, New York to the late Cleveland and Una Armstrong on April 30, 1943. Ruth was the youngest of six siblings Clement, Crawford, Desmond, Dorothy and Cleveland all of whom preceded her in passing.
She graduated from Morris High School and lived in the Bronx for all of her life until her passing.Upon graduation from High School, Ruth was principally employed at the Bank of New York and then J.P. Morgan Chase as a financial analyst. Ruth enjoyed fashion, politics, swimming and crossword puzzles. She contributed to many charities. Ruth was also very outgoing and enjoyed
socializing with her many friends and acquaintances. Ruth was married to Carl Jackson Sr. Her union was dissolved in subsequent years and she raised her children as a single parent.
She is survived by her five children; Jacqueline, Carl Jr., Eunice (Rexford), Ruth (Travis), and Valerie. She was very proud of her children and loved to tell anyone about their accomplishments. Ruth also leaves behind 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, whom she loved dearly, in addition to a host of nieces and nephews. Her beloved children give grace to God for her love and guidance. Ruth touched many lives and will be greatly missed.
